LUNA Speckled Stoneware (Cone 5-8) 12.5kg

$40.74

Speckled stoneware clay with impalpable grog 0-0.2mm. Grog this fine can't be felt, the clay feel is as smooth as butter.

Designed for artistic ceramics, it contains melting minerals that develop a seductive surface with dark spots of different sizes and shades that stand out in an ivory-white matrix.

Its high grog content provides excellent behaviour during drying and firing. Decoration with transparent glazes is ideal to enhance the vividness of the speckled effect. Available in an extruded body.

The colour samples may show temperatures outside the recommended range to provide a broader view, but these are pieces fired under controlled conditions. Cone equivalence according to Orton table for self-supporting cones, regular-SSB and 150ºC/hr heating rate.
